Beyond Paradise actress Zahra Ahmadi has spilled the beans on her dream co-star for the hit BBC spin-off. The 43-year-old returned to our screens last week, taking up her role once again as DS Esther Williams in the detective series alongside Kris Marshall. Fans were thrilled with the return of Humphrey Goodman (played by Kris Marshall) who's been solving new cases while adjusting to life away from the idyllic Saint Marie since the popular Death In Paradise spin-off aired.

Amidst a plethora of guest stars the series is famed for featuring, Zahra was probed on her ideal cameo. Speaking with the BBC , she said: "It would be Chris McCausland . I thought he was amazing on Strictly and I recently watched his Christmas special with Lee Mack.

He's a fantastic comedian, human being and actor. He'd be brilliant in an episode." Last year, Chris McCausland captivated viewers nationwide when he emerged as the first blind winner of Strictly Come Dancing , partnered with Dianne Buswell, reports Wales Online .

Chris had previously voiced his experiences on BBC Radio 4: "I think there are low expectations of people with disabilities - sometimes you'll come down a set of steps into a taxi and people say, 'Wow, how did you do that?'". These revelations follow close after Zahra shared her jittery feelings about playing Esther in Beyond Paradise. On a recent appearance on The One Show, she owned up to being a crucial figure in an older installment of Death in Paradise.

She recounted with humour: "The issue was that not only was I in an episode of Death in Paradise, but I died very, very much, died in the episode. So the further along in the audition process I got, the more fearful I got that I was going to get caught out." Reflecting on a nerve-wracking moment, she said, "And I remember when we had our chemistry read, I walked into the room, and I was thinking, 'Please, no one notice.

Please. No one say anything.'" She then shared the relief she felt during her audition: "And the first thing Tim Key, our executive producer said to me was, 'You were in an episode of Death in Paradise, weren't you?' And I said, 'Yes.

Is that a problem?' and he went 'No.' So I went ahhhh. And it was alright.

" Beyond Paradise airs Fridays at 8pm on BBC One.
