Tina Knowles insists she doesn’t want to get involved with the rape allegations levied against her son-in-law, Jay-Z. While that’s what she’s saying now, her social media activity tells a different story. Yesterday, as news of a lawsuit against Jay-Z made the rounds, Knowles was on social media, reportedly liking a story about the situation.
She later stepped forward to insist there was a very reasonable explanation for her activity following the news . Beyoncé’s mother claims her accounts had been hacked. Jay-Z is named in a lawsuit filed against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Jay-Z, whose legal name is Shawn Carter, is being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl during a 2000 party hosted by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The lawsuit, which was filed in October, did not initially name Jay-Z. Instead, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and “Celebrity A” and “Celebrity B” were named in the lawsuit. Jay-Z’s name was revealed during a December 8 filing.
According to the lawsuit, a then 13-year-old woman was brought to a party by a limo driver. She claims she was drugged by Combs and then raped by Jay-Z while a female celebrity watched. Later, she said Diddy raped her.
The female celebrity has not yet been named. The accuser’s name is being kept anonymous. Tina Knowles says her social media was hacked in the wake of rape allegations made against Jay-Z While Jay-Z and his team were quick to deny all of the allegations against him, his mother-in-law insists someone was busy hacking her social media profiles.
The elder Knowles took to Instagram on December 9 to insist her account had been hacked and that she was not using her account to like a post about her son-in-law. In her statement on Instagram , Tina Knowles said that she doesn’t “play” when it comes to her family and that any “uncharacteristic” activity on her account is not her doing. The elder Knowles has used her Instagram account to promote music and other forms of entertainment for several years but rarely ventures into anything controversial or scandalous.
She often posts about Beyoncé but seldom discusses Jay-Z. For example, she only briefly addressed his 2016 cheating scandal. Instead, she focused her commentary on Beyoncé’s hit album, Lemonade , which centered around infidelit y.
Jay-Z addressed the scandal in a 2017 interview for the New York Times. During his chat, he admitted to cheating and insisted that therapy had helped him better understand his behavior. The couple has since moved past the issue and has remained married.
Beyonce has not spoken publicly about the allegations. Still, she was seen out and about with Jay-Z over the weekend, indicating she’s presenting a united front for now..
