MOULTONBOROUGHBetsy Malina (Crombie) Graham, 94, of Moultonborough Neck Road, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Concord Hospital – Concord. She was able to live out her golden years at her home surrounded and supported by her loving family.Betsy was born on May 21, 1930, in Woburn, MA, the daughter of Herbert Raughlie and Malina (Soloman) Crombie.
She grew up in Billerica, MA, where she met and married her husband Robert ‘Jim’ Graham. They resided in Billerica for over 50 years, at which time Betsy and their children spent the summers at Camp Iroquois on Lake Winnipesaukee. They moved permanently to Moultonborough in 1975.
Betsy was the director of the Billerica Cooperative Kindergarten for many years. Betsy and Jim were members of the Winnebago Travel Club with whom they spent many years traveling around the United States, always accompanied by one of their many German Shepherds.Betsy was also an active member of the New England Snowmobile Racing Association, as well as the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association.
She also belonged to the Winnipesaukee Sportsman’s Club, taking care of memberships.Betsy loved crafting, quilting, knitting and making her own Christmas cards. Her favorite pastime was to sit in her front window watching the birds, cars, the ebb and flow of our small town, and visiting with friends and neighbors.
Betsy is survived by her children, Jim and Paula Graham of Billerica, MA, Christine and Will Ames of Moultonborough, NH, Terri McCarthy of Derry, NH, and Phyllis and Rich McCann of Moultonborough, NH; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betsy was predeceased by her husband, Robert ‘Jim’ Graham and her beloved son-in-law, John McCarthy.A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
