Victoria has always felt like an outsider and Mike is everything she is not: rough, rugged and unapologetically unrefined.

Set for release on Tuesday, August 12, "Outlier" by Dorset-based Susie Tate will explore personal themes including domestic violence and child safeguarding. The book follows two characters, Victoria and Mike, who are complete opposites. Victoria has always felt like an outsider and Mike is everything she is not: rough, rugged and unapologetically unrefined.

A confrontation leaves her shaken and Mike realises he is not as unaffected by her as he thought. For the first time, he is determined to uncover the woman beneath the carefully constructed exterior. Susie has drawn on her experiences working in the NHS to write the book, having worked across various hospital specialities, including in a women’s refuge for victims of domestic violence and as a child safeguarding lead, before becoming a GP.

She has been a number one Amazon bestselling author with more than one million books sold across formats. The author also uses experiences from her personal life to draw inspiration for her books, as her husband has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease..
