T wo L.A. music things caught my eye online this week.

The first is an interview with Elton John and Brandi Carlile about their new joint album, filmed at the Troubadour for Apple Music. Also on the music front, local favorites Dawes — who lost their homes in the Eaton Fire — have been a source of inspiration to so many these past few months.

This week, they released a new version of their L.A. love letter, “Time Spent in Los Angeles,” with some help from Andrew Bird and Alan Hampton.
