Best libero award frontrunner Shaira Jardio not yet satisfied with her performances

MANILA, Philippines — Shaira Jardio of the NU Lady Bulldogs said she is not yet satisfied with her performance in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament. This, despite being the frontrunner for this season's Best Libero award.Jardio, who logged 27-of-60 digs and 12-of-28 receptions in NU's 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18 win over FEU on Sunday, said she wants to keep improving as her floor defense is as crucial as the offense from their star spikers Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon."For me, I'm still not satisfied with my performances. I want to keep improving with coach She's (Sherwin Meneses) help," said Jardio."I always tell myself to just keep working hard and focus on my role. I want to connect with ate Lams (Lamina) because we're the key players on the court. Coach She tells me to stick to my position because I can really make an impact there."Jardio, who rebounded from an 'off game' of 23-of-43 digs and 17-of-38 receptions in NU's upset loss to UP last Wednesday, said she simply wants the Lady Bulldogs to successfully defend their title."My motivation is to go for a back-to-back win (championship)," the 5-foot-2 Jardio said."We're working hard, and we really focused on the FEU game, which is the one we're playing right now. We're going to work even harder for our next match."
