August 16, 1951 - April 12, 2025 Bernard R. Kavanagh passed away Saturday, April 12th, at Upstate Medical Center. Bernard was born August 16, 1951 the son of Paul R.
Kavanagh and Emily Krawczyk Kavanagh in Auburn where he resided his entire life. He was a graduate of Auburn High School, and worked as a corrections officer for 37 years until his retirement from Auburn Correctional Facility in 2013. He is survived by his siblings; sisters, Sally (Tim) Smith and Susan Kavanagh, and his brother, Ken (Nancy) Kavanagh, all of Auburn.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bernard will be remembers for his sense of humor and his generous spirit. Friends are invited to call Monday, April 21, from 10 until 11 a.
m., with a service to follow at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn.
