Bermuda Bound: Raleigh-Durham Airport Announces New Nonstop Flights To The Bermuda Triangle

It is one of three new US destinations from Bermuda, and passengers can take advantage of US Customs Preclearance on the return flight.

The Bermuda Triangle is now within a two-hour flight of the North Carolina Triangle as BermudaAir launches flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) alongside routes to South Carolina and Connecticut. Triangle to Triangle The new flights will link the state's capital to L.F.

BerdmudAir is the fourth international airline to launch or announce services at the North Carolina airport this year, following the likes of Aeromexico and COPA Airlines as the airport looks to grow its reach. Adam Scott, CEO & Founder of BermudAir, noted how the link will bring the two communities closer together: “We’re thrilled to bridge Bermuda with the energy of North Carolina’s Triangle region, offering convenient travel options for students, families, and professionals alike. ” BermudAir flights from the Research Triangle region are expected to cater to leisure and business travel. Bermuda is known for its vibrant culture, beaches, and golf courses. North Carolina is also home to many famous golf courses and has hosted major golf tournaments like the US Open, Ryder Cup, US Amateur Championship, Presidents Cup, and PGA Championships.

These routes are served by airlines from four different nations. The Bermuda route will operate on Fridays and Mondays with an Embraer E175 . The aircraft is configured to carry 10 passengers in business class and 60 in economy on the flight, which takes just over two hours.

Michael Landguth, President and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, noted how excited he was for the service to begin: “We are proud to welcome Bermuda to the growing list of international destinations at RDU. “The new BermudAir service will offer North Carolina travellers an exciting option for an island getaway and allow Bermudians to explore the incredible experiences that make the Raleigh-Durham region a top destination.” In addition to the Mexico and Panama City links, the airport also welcomed a nonstop service to Frankfurt with Lufthansa.

Bermuda to Bradley nonstop! Bermuda's flag carrier will also start nonstop service from Bermuda to Bradley International Airport (BDL), located between Hartford, Connecticut, and Springfield, Massachusetts. The Flights will begin on April 3rd, 2025, and operate on Thursdays and Sundays using an Embraer 175 aircraft. These facilities serve multiple unique roles.

Passengers returning from Bermuda can also take advantage of border preclearance at the point of departure. Meaning they clear US Customs and Border Protection in Bermuda and land in the US as domestic passengers. Kevin A.

Dillon, Executive Director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, noted how important this new link is to local residents: “We are thrilled that BermudAir has chosen Bradley International Airport as one of its airports” “This new route will provide convenient connectivity for leisure and business travelers who are looking to visit this popular destination and aligns with our commitment to offer access to more international routes. The system allows US-bound travelers to bypass the CBP and TSA process. The final US route to be announced is to Charleston International Airport (CHS) in South Carolina.

It will be the second international destination for the airport, joining an Air Canada link to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). To celebrate, the BermudAir is giving away a pair of tickets in competitions on its social media, with the CEO Scott noting: "We look forward to welcoming our passengers onboard and sharing Bermuda's unique spirit with each flight." With the addition of the three new routes, the airline will serve ten destinations in ten destinations in North America, including routes to Halifax (YHZ) and Toronto (YYZ) in Canada.
