Berkeley County coroner identifies victim of early morning Summerville crash

The Berkeley County Coroner's Office has identified the victim of an early-morning crash at the intersection of North Main Street and Berlin G. Myers Parkway in Summerville on April 12.

SUMMERVILLE — The Berkeley County Coroner's Office has identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred in the early morning hours of April 12. In a news release, Coroner Darnell Hartwell said his office was notified at 2:35 a.m.

of a fatal collision at the intersection of Berlin G. Myers Parkway and North Main Street. Hartwell identified the victim as 21-year-old Dakari McCutchen of Summerville.



He said McCutchen was a passenger in the vehicle and died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The Post and Courier reached out to the Summerville Police Department for more information about the crash. The Summerville Police Department and the coroner's office are investigating the crash.
