Berkeley BOE approves names for new elementary, middle schools

At a recent meeting of the Berkeley Board of Education, members officially approved names for the two new schools currently under construction. The new elementary school will be named Bee Tree Elementary, and the new middle school will be called Midtown Middle. Bee Tree Elementary is located in the Jedburg area, near the intersection of Cane Bay Boulevard and Black Tom Road, while Midtown Middle is situated on Blueway Avenue in the Nexton area off of Highway 17A.

Both schools are slated to open their doors to students in August 2026. Attendance lines for the schools have not yet been established..
