More than a hundred people packed the Berkeley Arms in School Road, St John's, to show their support for licensee Beverley Walton over 'unworkable' and stringent licensing conditions sparked by noise complaints. The premises licence at the pub has now been placed under review by Worcestershire Regulatory Services after a noise abatement notice in May 2022. Amelia Warman, aged seven, who has cancer, also gave her blessing to the pub after a fundraiser in her name to help other children beat the disease. All turned out to show their support for 60-year-old Mrs Walton who at times broke down in tears overwhelmed by the support. Conditions now in force order the pub's doors and windows to be kept closed at all times when music is being performed, even in summer, and there are restrictions on pub.
