There are a few iconic names when it comes to dosa in Bengaluru. While many are age-old tiffin rooms, there’s a relative newcomer who has swept in and won hearts at every step. The Rameshwaram Cafe launched its unique QSR model in 2021 and has since become a favourite with locals and tourists to the city for its fresh, high-quality ingredients and consistent South Indian comfort fare.

It quickly became a Bengaluru mainstay with five outlets in the city, extending its reach to Hyderabad early in 2024, and it is now set to make its North India debut in Mumbai and Delhi by 2025. The cafe was founded by Raghavendra Rao and Divya Raghavendra Rao who named it after the birthplace of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

After their expansion to Hyderabad, they expressed an interest in making Dubai their first international outpost, and while that is still part of the 2025 plans, it seems like a new outlets in Mumbai and Delhi are on the cards as well. The last few years have seen the brand go from win to win and serve an estimated 7,500 customers daily across all outlets for a monthly turnover of around 4.5 Cr.

The launch of their Hyderabad outlet was only the beginning of what on their website they envision to be a global expansion with cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad among other international destinations all being part of their larger plan.
