Bengaluru: The social media is flooded with posts and comments on the tragic death of Atul Subhash, a Bengaluru-based tech professional, who allegedly died by suicide on December 9. Subhash's 24-page suicide note sparked outrage on social media as many netizens shared posts demanding Accenture, the company where his wife Nikita Singhania is currently working, to sack her. Amid a barrage of posts demanding the termination of Nikita Singhania, Accenture has locked the profile of its CEO Julie Sweets.
This follows after the company had to lock its official handle, a few days earlier. "These posts are protected. Only approved followers can see @JulieSweet’s posts.
To request access, click Follow," Julie Sweet's profile shows this message. This suggests that her account is now restricted to approved followers, likely in response to the ongoing controversy and online harassment. Meanwhile, around 100 IT employees also held a candle march protest outside Accenture's Bengaluru office in Bellandur's Ecospace Business Park on December 12.
According to reports, posters demanding justice for Subhash were shared among tech professionals, urging them to assemble at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and Accenture offices in Kolkata and Hyderabad. Deceased's Wife On The Run As per News18 report, Nikita Singhania along with her mother, Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag are on the run. They have allegedly fled their residence in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, to avoid arrest.
An FIR filed by Bengaluru Police has named them on multiple charges, including abetment of suicide. Meanwhile, a video allegedly showing Nisha Singhania leaving the house late at night on a bike has been widely shared on social media.
