BFC is now working with the AIFF and FSDL to ensure appropriate action is taken. The club has called for strict consequences and improved safety protocols to prevent such incidents in the future. “Such actions not only endanger lives but go against the very spirit of our beautiful game,” the statement read.

“Stadiums should be a safe space – now and always. Such acts have no place in football, or anywhere.” The club’s complaint aims to set a precedent for fan safety norms and accountability in Indian football.
