Bengaluru: A video of a doctor and her children abusing her elderly in-laws over a marital dispute is being widely circulated on social media. The footage shows the woman shouting and forcefully pulling her mother-in-law. A number of social media users have demanded strict action against her.
The incident came into highlight following a complaint from J. Narasimaiah (father-in-law of the woman), a resident of RHCS Layout, West Bengaluru. The Annapoorneshwarinagar police registered a case against Dr Priyadarshini N, a doctor at Victoria Hospital.
According to Narasimaiah, his son, Dr Naveen Kumar, married Priyadarshini in 2007, but the couple later filed for divorce.According to a report by TOI, the woman visited her in-laws' house and abused her elderly in-laws and Naveen.She also issued death threats and assaulted her father-in-law on his back and head.
It is deeply disturbing to see elderly parents suffering abuse at the hands of their daughters-in-law. One such horrifying case involves Dr. Priyadarshini N, a doctor at Victoria Government Hospital, who harassed her in-laws for over a decade.

As the charges are bailable, police will record Priyadarshini’s statement and proceed with filing a chargesheet after verifying the evidence.Reportedly, the family dispute had been ongoing for several years. Priyadarshini claimed she went to her in-laws’ home to confront her husband about his lack of financial support for their children.
She alleged that her in-laws provoked her and her children, leading to the heated altercation. She also claimed that the video was deliberately recorded only after she reacted.Viral Video and Social Media OutrageThe viral video, widely shared on social media, shows Priyadarshini shouting at those filming, assaulting her mother-in-law, and her daughter kicking the elderly woman.
According to the post on X, a court order had already ruled that Priyadarshini had no right to enter their home, yet she allegedly forced her way inside on March 10.Her father-in-law is a heart patient, while her mother-in-law is a chronic disease survivor. As of now, Priyadarshini has not made any public statement regarding the incident.
