Bengal Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning and squall in Kolkata along with Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Uttar Dinajpur, Murshidabad, and Birbhu among others. The alert will be in place for three days. The weather body forecasts a fully packed week with rainy weather in West Bengal.
On Tuesday, April 8, the weather department has forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder and lightning. The maximum temperature in the city dipped by close to two notches on Monday. Moreover, a low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal on Monday morning.

April 12: The day will see a low of 25 degrees Celsius and a high of 35 degrees Celsius. Expect partly cloudy weather with a chance of rain or thunderstorms. April 13: Temperatures will range from 25 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius.
