In August, Whiskers' previous owners, Nicole (Nik) and Jonathan (JG) Grant, who have two young children, said they wanted to focus on their family and juggling running the popular bar with that has been a challenge. It wasn't the first time the decision was made to close, with difficulties stemming back to 2022 when they said "skyrocketing" costs were causing trading challenges. They opted to close for the winter back then, returning in the busier months..
