and Warner Bros. is apparently ready to say it a third time. On the heels of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice becoming one of the studio’s biggest surprises of 2024, co-chairmen Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy have confirmed that a third entry in Tim Burton’s spooky comedy franchise is now in active development .
The news comes as part of a larger slate update that includes a new Matrix film penned by Drew Goddard, plus fresh Gremlins and Goonies installments developed with Amblin and Chris Columbus. De Luca and Abdy, who’ve weathered industry chatter about their job security in recent months, appear to be steering the studio with a blend of franchise familiarity and calculated new bets in a conversation with Deadline , “Imminently. The ink might not be dry on the deals [for both Minecraft and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice] yet, but imminently.
