The voting results are in. Not for the presidential election but for the #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 after 10 weeks of the regular season. Texas High (6A/5A/4A) and Malakoff (3A/2A/TAPPS) were elected for repeat terms atop the rankings.
Texas High received nine first-place votes and 205 points. The Tigers were followed in 6A/5A/4A by Carthage (197), Longview (163), Pine Tree (158) and Kilgore (157) in the top five. Carthage received three first-place votes, and Longview and Lufkin each got one first-place vote.
Athens was a newcomer to the big-school rankings. Malakoff was a unanimous pick at No. 1 again, and the rest of the top five of 3A/2A/TAPPS remained the same with New Diana, Jefferson, Palestine Westwood and Winnsboro.
DeKalb joined the small-school rankings in a tie for the No. 15 spot with Shelbyville. Notable games this week are No.
1 Malakoff at No. 5 Winnsboro, No. 8 Van at No.
7 Pleasant Grove, No. 12 Canton at Sunnyvale and Tatum at No. 3 Jefferson.
