Bears trade Pick 41 to Bills in deal featuring 6 selections

The Bears traded the No. 41 pick of the draft to the Bills on Friday night in a deal that saw six selections exchanged. The Bears moved down 15 picks from 41 to 56.

They got the Bills’ two second-round picks — No. 56 and 62 — and the Bills’ fourth-rounder, No. 109.



The Bears also traded the No. 72 pick and their seventh-rounder to the Bills. The move was Ryan Poles’ first trade of the draft — and his eighth draft-day trade-down in four years.

The Bears spent their first two picks in the draft on pass-catchers: tight end Colston Loveland , who was picked 10 th on Thursday night, and Missouri receiver Luther Burden , who went 39 th to the Bears. The Saints held the 40 th pick between the Bears’ two second-round selections. Poles said Thursday that the Bears explored both trading up and trading down in the first round before ultimately deciding to do neither.
