A Chicago Bears defensive back might be the sickest man in America on Sunday night. Washington topped Chicago, 18-15, with a Hail Mary! pass from Jayden Daniels to Noah Brown as time expired on Sunday afternoon. The Commanders improved to 6-2 on the season, winning the battle of the No.
1 and No. 2 overall picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. Jayden Daniels won the first of what could be several matchups against Caleb Williams over the course of their careers.
But one Chicago Bears defensive back is rightfully getting clowned for his behavior on the field prior to the Hail Mary! pass. Tyrique Stevenson, No. 29 for the Chicago Bears, was caught taunting Commanders fans after the ball was snapped prior to the Hail Mary! pass on Sunday evening.
Joe Abdo. Stevenson, a 24-year-old defensive back who has been with the Bears since 2023 - he was a second round pick out of Miami - was seen taunting and pointing at Commanders fans prior to the Hail Mary! pass on Sunday afternoon. The Bears defensive back was still going at it with Commanders fans after the ball was snapped.
He then ran over to where the ball was thrown and tipped the pass. The tipped pass made it into the arms of Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown in the end zone, giving the NFC East franchise the win. You can't make that up.
Crazy video I got of #Commanders vs #bears walk off pic.twitter.com/mXFkR5wOGW That is not going to be fun film to go over on Monday or Tuesday morning for the Chicago Bears defensive back.
He will rightfully be chewed out by his team's coaching staff. "Tyrique Stevenson (29) is supposed to be following Noah Brown (85) the whole way," ESPN's Ben Solak noted. "But he never gets connected to him, in part because he was smack talking with Commanders fans the whole time?" WAIT WAIT WAIT LOL Tyrique Stevenson (29) is supposed to be following Noah Brown (85) the whole way But he never gets connected to him, in part because he was smack talking with Commanders fans the whole time? pic.
twitter.com/F1sbCQ8Bds It's even worse with the graphic, isn't it? Don't be surprised if the Chicago Bears bench their young defensive back following his disastrous final play at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland on Sunday..
