While that's a great price from GhostBed, you won't get the same level of benefits included with a Bear purchase. Bear's lifetime warranty and 120-night sleep trial offer reassurance and financial security, adding a lot of value to the price. However, GhostBed's warranty only lasts 25 years and between the 11-25th year, GhostBed determines whether or not to repair the mattress.

The all-foam structure is unusual for an effective cooling mattress since coil layers tend to offer better airflow. That said, GhostBed know what they're doing and have incorporated cooling fiber and gel memory foam to offer the best cooling power alongside cloud-like comfort. The top quilted cover is made from gel memory foam, cooling fiber and 'Ghost Ice' fabric, which claims and proves itself to be cool to the touch.
Our tester for our GhostBed Luxe mattress review was particularly impressed by this feature as we haven't experienced it with prior mattresses that claim to be 'cold to touch'. Bear Elite Hybrid & GhostBed Luxe: Support & Comfort The Bear Elite Hybrid comes in three firmness options – soft, medium and firm – so you can choose the feel that suits your sleep style and body type. In our Bear Elite Hybrid mattress review , we tested the medium firm model, which we rated 6 out of 10 for firmness in line with the brand's rating.
Our testing panel were impressed with how the coil layer delivers deep pressure relief and excellent zoned support to the lower back. Our reviewer found the Bear Elite Hybrid most comfortable when sleeping on their back and stomach, but said the mattress didn't sink as much as they'd liked in a side sleeping position. Exclusively made with foam, you'd expect the GhostBed Luxe to be soft when you lay on it, and that it is. But the longer our reviewers laid on it, the more impressed they were with the level of support the mattress offers. While the quilted cover gives a cloud-like hug, alleviating pressure points, the high-density foam keeps the spine aligned and lumbar supported when sleeping in a side position.
However, our reviewers reckon back sleepers would benefit from more firmness to ensure their hips are supported. In short, the GhostBed Luxe is great for side sleepers, while the Bear Elite Hybrid is a better option for those who prefer to sleep on their back or front. GhostBed call it the 'Coolest Bed in the World' and although we can't verify that claim, we do highly commend its cooling capabilities, especially for an all-foam mattress. While the Ghost Ice fabric quilted cover provides a cool to touch sleep surface, the Ghost Ice layer uses thermo-sensitivity technology designed to pull heat from your sleeping body to the quilted cover then down to be dispersed away.
