Beach-Tambaram suburban trains cancelled till 5pm today

Chennai: Suburban trains between Beach and Tambaram will be cancelled on Sunday between 7am and 5pm for track maintenance work at Tambaram railway station. However, 17 special passenger trains will operate between Pallavaram and Beach during those hours. After 5pm, the suburban trains will be operated as per the Sunday schedule.

However, EMU trains bound for Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, Tirumalpur, and Arakkonam and back will run as per scheduled timings on Sunday. To cater to regular commuters on Sunday, railways has requested MD/Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai) to operate additional bus services..
