BBC's Morning Live dropped from TV schedule unexpectedly and replaced in major shake-up

BBC One viewers will be disappointed to learn that Morning Live has been taken off the air

In an unexpected programming reshuffle, the BBC has dropped the popular daytime show Morning Live from its usual TV slot. Launched in October 2020, Morning Live has been a fixture on weekday mornings from 9:30am to 10:45am. However, starting next Monday (April 14), viewers will find the show missing from their screens.

Rip Off Britain and Dr Xand's Con or Cure will fill Morning Live's time slot. Moreover, the schedule for April 21 to April 25 shows a blank space during the 9:30 a.m.



to 10:45 a.m. period, with the listings simply reading "off air.

" The BBC has been contacted for a comment. This isn't the first hiatus for Morning Live; the programme was also temporarily pulled from the air last year for a month, reports Surrey Live . At the time, BBC informed fans via social media about the temporary change, posting: "Here's this week's Strictly Fitness summer-themed workout with Mr Neil Jones.

"Morning Live is on a break now. Join us on Monday 26th August from 9:30am for more Strictly Fitness. You can do all of the routines from this week in full and see how to do them sat down, on BBC iPlayer.

" (sic) Additionally, there was a three-week gap in broadcasting Morning Live on BBC One last year when the presenters were on their summer break. During that time, the audience was offered Rip Off Britain instead, a show dedicated to exploring cases where consumers in the UK feel they've been wronged. Morning Live's familiar faces, Michelle Ackerley, Gethin Jones, and Helen Skelton, have become a staple for viewers.

In a recent heartfelt expression, TV host Helen shared her deep "love and respect" for her BBC colleague Gethin. This outpouring of affection followed their successful fundraising efforts for Comic Relief's 40th anniversary, where the pair undertook the Wheely Big Challenge, skating on rollerblades for 24 hours. After this achievement, Helen turned to social media to praise her co-presenter: "My dear @gethincjones .
