JLS star JB Gill has been tipped to be the second favourite to score 40 points in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing at Blackpool Tower. According to Gambling.com's TV expert James Leyfield, aside from former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri , JB, 37 is in line to win over the judges after landing in the bottom two a few weeks ago.

Behind him is Miranda star Sarah Hadland, with odds 2/1, closely followed by Montell Douglas and EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick , with odds of 4/1. When the series first started, the former X Factor star who won over Simon Cowell and the other show judges in 2008, became one of the favourites to win the show. But he was soon knocked down to the bottom two alongside his professional dance partner Amy Dowden .

At the time, fans took to social media to express their shock. One person wrote: "JB and AMY?!?! In the bottom two? What’s going on?" Another viewer said on X: "JB AND AMY! WHAT? Wow, shocked at that. I thought he was great last night.

" Meanwhile a third person added: "Nikita’s reaction was so me, what do you mean Amy and JB are in the dance off?!" At the time, Paul Merson who was eliminated from the show said on his exit: "It’s been really good. For anybody I talk to, I would say you’ve got to go on this show. It’s amazing.

There’s a Tottenham fan over there called Lincoln and even he’s nice! It’s been amazing – honestly amazing. I loved every minute of it." Speaking of his dance partner, he added: "She’s been amazing and I couldn’t wish for a better coach.

I’ve loved every minute of it. I can dance now. I’ve won because I can dance – I couldn’t dance before and I can half dance now.

It’s a bonus." JB has been partnered with pro star Lauren Oakley after Amy was forced to pull out of the BBC show due to an injury. But despite being "gutted" about missing out on performing at Blackpool, she explained while on Lorraine that JB is still on track to make it to the final.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on the ITV morning show, Amy said: "It's the goal, everybody wants to make it to Blackpool and there's something so special about being there. I remember walking in when I was eight years old and just being like, wow. That's when I turned to my mum and said, 'Mam, I want to be a professional dancer'.

" She added: "I was lucky enough to be crowned British champion there in 2016 and then I danced with Karim (Zeroual, her 2019 partner) there, we got nearly a perfect score - 39 out of 40. I'm just so gutted I won't be dancing there this weekend." She then went on to say: "It's definitely not the way I wanted it, but I'm so proud of JB, Lauren's (Oakley) doing a great job and obviously I planned the series to have his best numbers towards the end to get him to the final because he's so talented.

I've seen the Quickstep and everybody's in for a treat and there's more tens coming." Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads.
