Dianne Buswell has been seen fighting tears alongside Chris McCausland as they offered an update on their preparations for the Strictly Come Dancing final. The pair have made it all the way to the end of the BBC One dance contest without facing a dance-off and will be seen performing in the final this Saturday (December 14). Last weekend, the comedian and the professional dancer were seen competing in the semi-final of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series.

Like their fellow semi-finalists, the pair performed two dances each in a bid to make it through to the last week of the 2024 run of the competition. It's since been revealed that Chris and Dianne's Show Dance will be to You Get What You Give by New Radicals and they'll perform their couple’s Choice to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon and a Waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Chris and Dianne have offered an early update on how they're getting on so far, and Chris has admitted the emotions are getting to him, and setting Dianne off in the process. In a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday evening (December 10), the pair were speaking about what's ahead and as well as thanking their fans for their support, they also spoke about facing the final as they plan on enjoying their last time in the Strictly ballroom. (Image: Dianne Buswell Instagram) Dianne said: "We want to say thank you for making it possible that we're even dancing in the final.

I do think Chris really deserves it and I think one of the things we've shown is, and I heard you say it today actually Chris, that things don't need to be perfect to be successful. I heard you say it on the phone in an interview and I thought it's so true," to which Chris interjected and said: "Perfection is crippling." The pair then had another emotional moment which saw Dianne tearing up before she said: "Anyway, we got quite emotional there but what we really want to say is thank you.

We want to say we're going to give it our all in the final and we're going to just do what we do best and enjoy our time out there on the Strictly floor. "And whether that means we get a seven from Craig [Revel Horwood] or if that means we get a ten, who cares?" Chris interjected to say: "Don't get too carried away," which made them both laugh before Dianne added: "But what we will do is enjoy. We'll dance like it's our last time because it's going to be, Chris!" He then added: "Di, where are we? We're in the final!" Dianne then captioned the clip on Instagram: "All the emotions on our final week," before she and Chris were flooded with messages of love and support as their Strictly journey nears and end.
