Strictly Come Dancing has unveiled its 2024 champion, but some viewers believe another pair were more deserving of the glitterball trophy. Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell emerged victorious after an intense 12-week journey of training and weekly performances. Their waltz to Liverpool's anthem You'll Never Walk Alone and their couple's choice dance to John Lennon's Instant Karma left the judges in awe.

However, despite the emotional group hugs and heartfelt thank you speeches, a number of viewers felt that another couple should have taken home the coveted prize. While Chris's performance moved Shirley to tears, many argued that Tasha was a superior dancer. JLS's JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, actress Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, and Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec also graced the dance floor for the final showdown.

However, some fans believed there was a more deserving winner. One viewer expressed disappointment on social media: "Such a shame people vote for their favourite celebrity, not the best dancer. It's been clear from day one who would win, simply based on who they are, not how they dance", reports the Daily Star .

Another viewer shared similar sentiments, stating: "Was there any point watching #Strictly final? "I mean it was a guarantee that Chris was going to win the glitterball no matter if someone is better on the night tbh feel bit sorry for the rest of the celebs for even trying." While Chris may not have been the strongest dancer, as pointed out by Anton Du Beke on the show, many believe he overcame the greatest challenges. One viewer commented: "Chris is the weakest of the 4 finalists.

But he is the most deserving winner." Another chimed in: "Tasha and Sarah should have won, they were much more sleek on the dance floor. But Chris is still a worthy winner.

" A fourth added: "Chris was amazing but Tasha was technically better." Chris has been dubbed this year's surprise package, having joined the series as its first visually-impaired contestant. His journey on the show, under Dianne's expert guidance, has captivated audiences across the country, transforming him into a dancing sensation.
