The original Sugababes delivered a medley of their top tracks on Strictly Come Dancing's results show this evening. Greeted with enthusiastic applause as they entered the BBC ballroom, their performance, however, received a lukewarm response from some viewers at home. The trio, who shot to fame in the early noughties with chart-toppers like "Too Lost In You," "Freak Like Me," and "Push The Button," were all clad in black for their Strictly appearance before the results were unveiled.

Yet, as they belted out their songs live, the audience at home took to X, previously known as Twitter , offering varied opinions on the vocal prowess displayed. One viewer didn't mince words, commenting: "Sugababes couldn't be more out of tune if I sang for them #Strictly." Another expressed disappointment: "Well, I won't be booking tickets for Sugababes any time soon #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.

" A third shared: "Sorry, but the Sugababes were totally underwhelming," reports OK! . Meanwhile, someone else critiqued: "I like the Sugababes, but this performance is bad #StrictlyComeDancing." Conversely, there were those who enjoyed the performance, with one fan saying: "Loved the medley from the Sugababes, some fantastic songs.

..#strictly.

" Another praised: "The looks, the vocals, the talent...

the original SUGABABES are everything and more...

#StrictlyComeDancing." Amidst the singing, the crowd and viewers also appreciated professional dancers Neil Jones and Nancy Xu lighting up the dance floor. Shortly after their performances, viewers were on the edge of their seats to find out which celebrity would make it through to the next stage of the dancing contest and who would be leaving.

Ultimately, EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick was eliminated from the competition, missing a spot in the quarterfinal and becoming the ninth contestant to exit the show. The 30-year-old and his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas ended up in the dreaded dance-off against Olympian Montell Douglas, 38, and her partner Johannes Radebe. With both pairs having delivered their dances a second time, the panel of judges reached a unanimous decision to spare Montell and Johannes, thereby ending Jamie's journey on the show.

Jamie lavished praise on Strictly Come Dancing, describing it as "magic" and lauded everyone involved with the programme. He followed up by saying: "Not just everyone who you see in front of the camera, these four here (the judges), but everyone who works on this show, I have such a good bond and relationship with and that's what made me want to do this show, it's the people, not what I'm doing. I've had the best time.

" "We have laughed like you wouldn't believe. I have nothing but the utmost respect for everyone on the show, so thank you," he further expressed his gratitude. Strictly Come Dancing returns next weekend on BBC One.
