Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were once again captivated by the show's renowned audience members, with one appearing 'on the verge of tears' after Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal's stirring performance. The duo paid a chilling tribute to Todd Phillips' Joker movie with their eerie Viennese waltz to Frank Sinatra 's That's Life, taking the stage in second place during the BBC One dance competition's Halloween extravaganza on Saturday night (October 26). Podcast sensation and reality TV star Pete embodied the iconic film's lead role in his striking red suit and green hair as he elegantly spun and dipped professional dancer Jowita, who was clad in a vibrant red ruffled gown.
Judge Anton Du Beke lauded it as Pete's finest dance yet, commending his "breadth of movement" and portrayal. Shirley Ballas expressed her pride in his effort but suggested he work on stabilising his footing. Pete and Jowita then achieved their top score of the season, amassing 31 points, with Pete even conceding he was "finally happy" with himself after acing his most recent live show, reports the Manchester Evening News .
However, it was Pete's best mate Sam who inadvertently stole the spotlight, beaming with pride as Pete and Jowita finished their act and awaited the judges' verdicts. Twitter user @StartWithThis remarked: "Awww Sam looks like his is going to cry #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly." Another user, @katyajcnes, commented: "Need someone to love me the way sam loves pete #strictly.
2 @roscoeleebarnes added: " Meanwhile, @roscoeleebarnes chimed in with: "Sam looking at Pete like a proud dad #Strictly." It comes as Pete recently admitted on Instagram on Sunday that he has had a 'tough week' on Strictly Come Dancing . The star shared a photo of himself dressed in character wearing a red suit, green dyed hair and the Jokers red smile painted on his face.
He wrote: "It means a lot to us. More than you could imagine..
.it’s been a tough week, for various reasons but we can’t wait to try and entertain you all again. Prepare yourself, we have nothing to lose @jowitaprzystal.
" Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One.
