Some of the Strictly Come Dancing finalists have been dealt a blow ahead of the final as a clear winner has emerged. Just four couples remain in the BBC One dance contest, and only one will be lifting the coveted Glitterball trophy. Following last weekend's semi-final, it was decided by the public that Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola would compete in the last week of Strictly 2024.

It's also been revealed what they'll be dancing and which songs to in the last episode of the series as they take on three routines each - their favourite dance of the series, the judge’s pick and a spectacular show dance. JB and Lauren will perform a Show Dance to a Motown Medley, a Viennese Waltz to Let’s Go Fly A Kite from Mary Poppins and a Samba to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes, while Chris and Dianne's Show Dance will be to You Get What You Give by New Radicals and they'll perform their couple’s Choice to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon and a Waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

And while the public will have the final decision, head of the final, body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton has named Chris and Dianne as his strongest couple, and tips them to win the Glitterball trophy. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren Stanton says comedian Chris and his pro dance partner Dianne have ‘built a deep rapport’ with each other and have built a ‘high degree of trust’ over the past few months. They’ve not only had to build that deep rapport that all the other couples have, but because Chris doesn’t have his sight he’s had to put a much higher degree of trust in his partner, which has in turn built a deep connection, hence why they’ve sailed through week in week out. That’s the main reason I think they’re going to win and the public want them to win." Darren added: "Chris and Dianne have only got stronger week on week, whereas some of the other couples have lost a bit of passion.

They’re one of the strongest partnerships I’ve ever seen on the show. Last week after their second routine, Chris was very emotional and crying, his eyes were closed, Dianne was very emotional too. "They’re still matching and mirroring each other’s posture and body language.

Pace and lead, they’re moving as one entity on the dance floor, and also when they’re getting their feedback, they’re matching each others’ behavioural signatures. They couldn’t be tighter as a couple.".
