BBC confirms start date for new Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris TV series

Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris will appear on TV together for the first time since Andrew Flintoff's Top Gear crash in a new BBC series - see when it starts.

McGuinness, Harris and Flintoff used to be co-hosts of hit BBC series Top Gear, until the later was severely injured in an accident at the show's Test Track - the Dunsfold Aerodrome, Surrey back in December 2022. The former England cricket captain reportedly flipped a Morgan Super 3 vehicle on the first bend at the Top Gear test track during filming for the show while not wearing a helmet. The presenter sustained broken ribs and serious facial injuries in the incident with Flintoff’s son Corey, revealing at the time, his father was “lucky to be alive” describing it as a “pretty nasty crash”.

There were reports Flintoff's crash was so bad Top Gear staff who witnessed it had to be indefinitely as they struggled to come to terms with an incident described as "something you would truly want to unsee". After months of speculation, the BBC finally made the decision, last November, to for the "foreseeable future". Flintoff returned to TV for the first time recently on BBC series Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams On Tour.



Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris team up for new BBC series Now McGuinness and Harris are set to appear on TV together for the first time since the accident in a new BBC series called Paddy And Chris: Road Tripping. The new show will see the pair travel around Sweden, Greece and Switzerland to explore the secrets to living a long and full life. While also seeing them try out rollercoasters, surfing, woodland workouts and even cosmetic treatments, as they investigate how Europeans grow old gracefully. In a trailer for the show, McGuinness says: “Me and Chris have decided to tackle getting older head on.” Harris adds: “Visiting our European neighbours for the secret to ageng more gracefully.
