BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent sparked concern on Monday morning after she randomly left her co-star Jon Kay to present alone in the studio. At 7.15 am, the duo sat on the red sofa together, however, after the show played a pre-recorded segment about a heartbreaking story, when they returned to the studio, Sally was nowhere to be seen.
Instead, Jon was joined by BBC Breakfast correspondent Hayley Hassall to discuss the tragic story even further. Jon then proceeded to present the show solo before Sally later appeared via video link. He said: "Now if you like, a jigsaw.

She can barely get her words out and announced earlier that Alan Shearer had donated the “proceedings” from his testimonial to charity." Another replied: "And now it looks like she’s done a runner."
