During the latest episode of BBC Breakfast, weather forecaster Louise Lear didn't hold back as she suggested viewers to "go back to bed". The 56-year-old joined hosts Roger Johnson and Sarah Campbell on the morning show to provide regular updates on the UK weather on Sunday (November 24). However, with Storm Bert still wreaking havoc nationwide, Louise advised those watching to stay indoors if possible.

As Roger handed over to Louise for another update, he said: "Quarter past eight and if you just getting up and looking out your curtains, depends where you are in the country, but it lots of places it's not a nice look, Louise. Louise replied: " To which Louise responded: "Go back to bed! It's Sunday." She added: "Stay watching the telly and don't go out that's probably the easiest solution.

But, yes we've still got Storm Bert and it's refusing to go away at the moment. "And today, once again, it's all going to be about the strength of the wind and heavy rain and this time particularly across parts of England and Wales," she elaborated. She then proceeded to highlight the areas most likely to be impacted by the severe weather conditions.

Last year, Louise made headlines after an unintentional gaffe during her News at 10 weather report for South Today, reports the Express . A male voice, belonging to Jon Cuthill who was unaware he was live on BBC One and his mic was still on, interrupted her mid-report. During the live segment, Jon was caught on microphone yawning loudly and uttering several groans.

He was also heard talking to his producer with the words: "Standby, yeah I've been standing-by, oh hello - they're calling you? ". Subsequently, fans took to social media to share their reactions, with one particularly disgruntled viewer posting on Twitter : "@SouthTodayNews suggest a very quick apology due to the bbc news weather reporter who your presenter was quite disrespectful to whilst on mic when he didn't think he was being heard - not nice to have to listened to #noPlaceForHisEgo and he didn't even give his name at the end." BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
