One wondered what happened, writing: " #bbcbreakfast What's happened to BBC Breakfast?" whilst another described it as "painful".

They said: "Painful TV #BBCBreakfast ." Earlier in the week, Sally expressed concern for Jon, who had already made it out to the US. She said: "Jon, you still haven't said when you're going to sleep.

I am going to worry about you all day now," as Jon replied: "I have no idea." Fellow presenter Ben Thompson then jumped in to add: "Pace yourself, it is going to be a long week, we might not see you for a few weeks if it keeps going on and on. Take it easy, Jon, we will see soon.

" Nigel Farage was pointed out in the coverage, as he was there at Trump HQ, whilst they also covered the HQ of Kamala Harris in Washington DC but she is not expected to speak. * BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer..
