Bargain Hunt is the cornerstone of BBC's daytime schedule and is one of the nation's favourite antiques shows which has seen an ever changing lineup. Show bosses have since made an announcement in a major show shakeup. Taking to social media they announced the arrival of two new experts who will soon grace our screens.
Serhat Ahmet, an expert in dealing with ceramics, and David Fergus, who previously presented Cash In The Attic alongside Jules Hudson are Bargain Hunt's latest show additions. The programme launched on 13 March 2000 and was hosted by the then-unknown presenter David Dickinson. There are now seven presenters and a pool of more than 20 antiques experts.
Taking to the official Bargain Hunt's X account, the post read: "It's a massive welcome one of our 2 new brilliant experts - it's @SerhatAntiques! Welcome to the #BBCBargainHunt team, Serhat. Catch Serhat's first episode on Monday 14th April, when he's shopping with his blue team in #Exeter." A follow up message said: "Please give a huge welcome to our other new expert on #BBCBargainHunt.
It's @1davefergus! You can watch David's first programme on #BankHoliday Monday 21st April when he guides his blue team in King's Lynn." Speaking about his appointment, Serhat said: "I'm from London and I'm a dealer in European porcelain. I am really excited to be joining the Bargain Hunt expert team.
"What an honour. What a privilege. Tune in to see how I do.
" David also gushed about his new role, saying: "I'm a glass collecting auctioneer and valuer from Staffordshire. I'm absolutely delighted to have been asked to join the Bargain Hunt team as one of the new experts. "I look forward to seeing you all out on the road.
Happy hunting!" Social media users rushed to comment on both posts as one person said: "Welcome. Look forward to catching your eps #BargainHunt." Another remarked: "It will be interesting & fun to watch.
Welcome to the Bargain Hunt family Serhat." A third added: "Welcome and good luck!" Bargain Hunt airs weekdays on BBC One at 12.15pm.
