
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Baylor lost 8-3 to No. 22 Missouri Friday afternoon on the second day of the Mary Nutter Classic.
Freshman Sadie Ross suffered her first loss of the season, allowing three runs on three hits in 1.2 innings. Lexie Warncke gave up two runs on two hits with one strikeout across five innings, while Lillie Walker allowed three runs and three hits with one strikeout in 0.

Baylor came back in the bottom half of the inning when Flores hit a double off the wall in center field to drive in Presleigh Pilon and pinch runner Caroline Rowatt. Missouri hit its second solo home run in the third inning, but Govan answered with her own solo moonshot to left field in the bottom half of the inning to again pull the Bears within one run. The Bears had just one hit in the final four innings, while the Tigers scored on a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning, and added three runs on four hits in the seventh to clinch the win.
