Bayern Munich player Harry Kane spouts familiar “work hard” advice for youngsters...but might he have a point?

The beginning to Harry Kane’s professional career was rather humble. After moving from academy to academy (and infamously being thrown out from Arsenal FC ’s youth academy after a year) he ended up with bitter Arsenal rivals Tottenham Hotspur . But, despite ending up at such a big club, he was hardly one of its’ biggest stars.

He went on 4 separate loans to different clubs in various positions in the English footballing academy and still returned to the Lilywhites with the club unsure of the player’s quality. But then he got a chance and proved to be a phenomenal one season wonder in the 2014/15 season. And then a two season wonder.



And a three season wonder. Soon, it turned out that Kane had managed to develop from a youth player with an average reputation to a rather consistently wonderful player. So, as the current Bayern Munich star sits down with goal.

com to hold an interview, as captured by @iMiaSanMia , and talks about how young players can achieve his level of success, he is living proof that the platitudes he spouts do hold some merit: “Hard work, dedication and self-belief are the three things that have helped me get to where I am today. It’s about the small things every day, working hard and putting in the extra work to make it as a professional footballer. There is only a small percentage of people who make it, but if you have the right attitude and passion, and if you’re willing to put in the effort, I think anything is possible.

” The England captain has certainly put in that effort and he reaps the reward every season with his unbelievable goal scoring prowess.
