Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is “optimistic” about his club’s chances against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League . “Do you know what makes me optimistic? It’s that everyone has declared Leverkusen to be the favourites. I know our team.
That annoys them a lot. And accordingly, next Wednesday I expect our team to give it their all in front of their own fans - and play with eleven men,” said Rummenigge (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ). “Things are not looking too bad from a sporting perspective.
We now have an important week ahead of us with the game on Friday in Stuttgart and next week against Leverkusen in the Champions League. I’m optimistic we’ll continue to play successful football and win titles in the future.” The tie should be a massive battle and one that could be contentious given how many times the two teams have met this season.
