The Bauchi State Government has disclosed that it has earmarked N5 billion for the renovation of all the primary health care centres across the state. The state governor, Bala Mohammed, disclosed this on Tuesday during the commissioning ceremony of six revitalised Primary Health Care Centers in the Kirfi Local Government Area of the State. Mohammed, who was represented by the Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly Abubakar Sulaiman, pointed out that “This primary healthcare revitalisation initiative is aligned with the healthcare blueprint, ‘My Bauchi Projects,’ which aims to strengthen primary healthcare centres to attend to a minimum of PHC’s standard.

” He observed that the duration of the IMPACT Project in the state is ten years, hence the need for target communities to utilise and take ownership of the health facilities provided judiciously for optimum results.
