TacticalBrit notes that this "makes perfect sense for any game with a theoretical conflict as Gibraltar acts as a strategic bridge between Europe and Africa." Ceded to Great Britain in 1713, Gibraltar remains a contentious outpost today, with inhabitants fiercely rejecting Spanish claims of sovereignty. A natural fortress , Gibraltar has endured some 14 sieges since its settlement in the 11th century.
