Basingstoke firefighters raise record amount with car wash

The event on Saturday, March 8 saw drivers from come out in force, helping the team raise £1,613.69 for the Fire Fighters Charity. Chris Mernin, group administrator for Basingstoke Fire Station and North of Hampshire, said: "Basingstoke Fire Station have been doing car washes for many years, in order to raise much needed funds for Fire Fighters Charity.
