Ferran Torres , Marc-Andre ter Stegen , Marc Bernal , Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo are currently on the sidelines, and Eric Garcia has also been ruled out despite suggestions that he might be available. Garcia suffered a muscular injury during the warm-up ahead of last weekend's La Liga clash with Sevilla, which saw him miss out against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Spaniard was unable to train last week, and he is therefore not available for El Clasico in the Spanish capital.

There are no late issues for the Catalan outfit, though, with the likes of Gavi , Frenkie de Jong and Dani Olmo all available after recovering from recent injury problems. Youngsters Sergi Dominguez , Gerard Martin , Hector Fort and Diego Kochen are also in the squad, as is Wojciech Szczesny , with the experienced goalkeeper available to make his debut, but Inaki Pena should continue between the sticks. Head coach Hansi Flick could name the same side that took to the field for the first whistle against Bayern, with Marc Casado and Pedri potentially continuing as the midfield duo despite Gavi and De Jong now being available once again.

Barcelona are top of the La Liga table , three points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.
