Dec. 8, 1939 — March 1, 2025 Barbara Ann (Bobbie) Guthrie, a lifelong resident of Shoshone, Idaho, passed away peacefully at Ashley Manor Memory Care in Kimberly, Idaho, on March 1, 2025. Bobbie was born on December 8, 1939, in Shoshone, Idaho, to Harry Baugh and Edith Shumate.
She had three brothers, Harry, Jim and Murry Baugh; and one sister, Rosanell Pate. She grew up on a farm just a few miles away from where she had lived until the last year of her life. Bobbie married Raymond Eberhard and together they had three children, Rusty, Randy and Janis.
They were later divorced. She later married Evan Guthrie and they were later divorced. Bobbie was mainly at home but she did work some various jobs over the years.
She worked for several years at the Shoshone Sale Yard and in her later years she worked as a cook at the Dietrich School. She was extremely independent and truly a “Jack of all Trades”. She was a fantastic cook/chef and was famous for her homemade noodles and cinnamon rolls.
Anyone who knew Bobbie knew what an amazing and selfless person she was, always putting others ahead of herself. She never turned away anyone in need and over the years she opened her heart and her home to numerous family members and friends. Her family was always the biggest focus of her life and she was the most incredible Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
You are so loved and we will miss you so much! Bobbie is survived by her son, Randall (Judy) Eberhard of Shoshone; and her daughter, Janis (Doug) Astle of Montana. She is also survived by three grandsons, Dakota (Megan), Brody, and Cooper (Melissa) Astle; granddaughters, Shahayla Eberhard and Brittnie Tulley; and step-granddaughters, Kolby (Yammilla) Kern and Taelor (Austin) Graham; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her four siblings; her son, Russell Eberhard; and her grandson, Bradley Eberhard.
Honoring Bobbies wishes, cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service—Shoshone Chapel. A service will be planned later this year in June. Condolences, memories and photos can be shared with the family by visiting www.
