Bangor’s Wicked Brew Cafe is closing

A note on Facebook thanked loyal customers of the coffee shop at 173 Park St. and expressed regret at having to close.

Wicked Brew Cafe in Bangor announced on Facebook on Tuesday that it is closing. The note thanked loyal customers of the coffee shop at 173 Park St. and expressed regret at having to close.

“Your loyalty and support have been instrumental in our success. However, due to unforeseen health issues and a desire to prioritize family, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors,” the unsigned note said. Wicked Brew Cafe opened in 2017 and was run at the time by Kevin MacLellan Sr.



and his three daughters, including Kate Proctor, who was the official owner. MacLellan Sr. previously ran the Daily Grind, Bangor’s first modern coffee shop, from 1992 to 1996 at 26 Broad St.
