Usually, the Mary Catherine Bunting Center serves as the main entrance and center of activity for the Mercy Medical Center. But, on this particular Saturday night, it became a party venue for the Center’s 150th Anniversary Gratitude Gala, a celebration to thank the many donors and supporters of Mercy Health Services. [ ] Now, the lobby was unrecognizable — decked out with fancy lighting, tables and chairs, cocktail buffet tables and bars, along with a temporary stage — where it welcomed some 400 glammed-up guests to celebrate Mercy’s big birthday.
Why go to all that effort? “There are so many people who will be here who were critical in building the House of Mercy,” noted Dr. David Maine, MHS president/CEO. “So, it’s befitting to have the party in the House of Mercy,” he said.
