Ballabgarh-Palwal Metro Update: The Haryana government on Monday announced that the metro from Ballabhgarh will soon be extended to Palwal. The advisory stated that the Detail Project Report (DPR) has begun, and it is expected to be prepared in the next 6 months. The advisory further stated that the report will have details of the metro route.
The report will also have several other details, including the number of pillars and eye guarders. Reports suggest that Palwal metro is expected to connect with the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor. The decision was taken by the government after rigorous demands from the local people over several years.

The first station after Ballabhgarh will be Sector 58-59, followed by Sikri, Softa, Prithla, Baghaula, Alhapur, and Palwal. The metro expansion is expected to give a boost to the industrial activities in the region.
The total cost of the elevated construction will be Rs 4,320 crore, with Rs 180 crore invested per kilometer. Moolchand Sharma, the MLA from the Ballabhgarh constituency, stated that the report related to the project is expected to be prepared soon, and the construction work is also expected to begin in the next year. Earlier in August 2022, ex-chief minister of Haryana Manoharlal announced the expansion of the metro in one of his speeches.
The officials even started working on it and visited the regions around Ballabhgarh and Palwal for the inspection.
