The event"Azerbaijan-NATO Roundtable on energy Security and Climate Change"is taking place as part of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan'saccession to NATO's Partnership for Peace Framework Document inBaku, Trend reports. The roundtable features a representative from NATO's Climate andEnergy Security Sector within the Innovation, Hybrid, and CyberSecurity Division, as well as experts and representatives fromacademia in member and partner countries, including relevantinstitutions from Azerbaijan.
Moreover, the event will be a melting pot of ideas regardingenergy security matters and Azerbaijan's part in the grand schemeof Europe's energy safety. It will also shine a light on potentialthreats and risks to vital energy infrastructure and how tosafeguard it, along with the intricate dance between climate changeand energy security. The roundtable particularly emphasizes Azerbaijan's role as areliable energy partner and supplier, as well as its efforts incombating climate change and transitioning to green energy,including the importance of hosting COP29 in Baku.
