Is it time to start believing in the Baker Mayfield-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers team in 2024? After a solid win over the Washington Commanders in Week 1, the Buccaneers went on the road to one of the NFC's best team's houses and managed to escape with a win. The offense did what it had to, and the defense stood up late to clinch a stirring win and Mayfield revealed why getting a win over the Lions was so big for the team. “For starters, having a bunch of guys out, a lot of guys stepping up in a huge way, and for it to come down to critical moments in a really tight ball game and people everybody stepping up is so big for everybody on this team,” Mayfield said .

“To stick together obviously a different outcome than we had last time we were here, but it's a new season, still got a lot of games left but for us building chemistry, this resiliency and culture that we want, this is a huge win for us. So we have to continue to build on that, and now there's a lot of stuff we can fix. It's always better to learn off of a win than it is a loss so continue to push forward and build on it.
