Bajaj Auto ex-VC Madhur Bajaj passes away

Pune: Bajaj Auto 's former vice-chairman Madhur Bajaj passed away at 73. Born on August 19, 1952, he also served as chairman of Maharashtra Scooters and director of Bajaj Electricals , Bajaj Finance, and other companies of the Bajaj Group . Madhur was the grandson of Jamnalal Bajaj, founder of the Bajaj Group, and cousin of the late Rahul Bajaj.

"His visionary leadership and steadfast dedication significantly shaped and benefited the company. His passing is an irreparable loss to his family, the company, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with him," Bajaj Auto said in a statement. Madhur was a former president of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA).



"Deeply saddened by the passing of Madhur Bajaj, a respected senior member of the Bajaj family and our family friend. His distinguished associations, including chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (Western Region), past president of the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture, and involvement with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, showcased his unwavering commitment to excellence. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
