Bail on forged papers, 3 booked

Ludhiana: Division Number 5 police have booked three people for helping a drug peddler obtain bail using forged documents. The FIR was filed on the orders of Additional and Sessions Judge Jaspinder Singh. The cops charged three individuals who had allegedly impersonated others in court: Ishar Singh of Majitha, Amritsar; Nambardar Gurpreet Singh; and Roshan of Batala, Gurdaspur.

The drug peddler, Sham Lal, also known as Shama of Batala, Gurdaspur, has also been booked. Sham Lal was arrested by the GRP Ludhiana for drug peddling on Nov. 18, 2022.



Police said Ishar Singh had appeared as a guarantor before the court for Sham Lal's bail, while Nambardar Gurpreet Singh and Roshan were witnesses. Investigating officer ASI Sukhpal Singh stated that a case of cheating and forgery had been registered but the suspects had not been arrested yet.
